This is the home page of Naples Neutrino Group, dedicated to the study of neutrino physics at CERN.
Our detector unit is the Emulsion Cloud Chamber (ECC), employing nuclear emulsion films as compact tracking and vertex detector with submicrometric resolution, while tungsten is used as passive material for the neutrino interactions.
The ECC detectors are alternated with electronic detectors in the Scattering and Neutrino Detector (SND), studying neutrino produced both in the high intensity frontier at the SPS (the SHiP experiment) and in the high energy frontier at the LHC (the SND@LHC experiment).
Other than neutrino physics, our group is involved in the applications of nuclear emulsions for hadron therapy (with the FOOT experiment), Muon radiography and dark matter (NEWSdm).
